Heya, I bought my wii just yesterday thinking it was a good option as I needed a new dvd player. Now I didnt know it didnt play dvds till after i got it home and played some wii sports. So finding out that it doesnt play dvds I wanted to return it, but to return it I need to get some type of number from nintendo first so mayb someone on here wants it or knows someone else that wants it.

Its a pick up only sale (I live in Sydney, Fairfield)
I have the receipt and selling it cheaper than what I bought it for by a tad. So any ill be checking any replies and you can email me at mcrokz@hotmail.com.

Yep, everythings neatly packed away in the box - wii sports , sensor, stand , output cables, pwr cable , wii mote and nunchuck , booklets. I went back to bigW today but they said they require the AR number from nintendo so Im gonna give them a call tomorrow unless someone else wants it.

Rofl, hows about you keep the console since it is totally kick ass and you go down the local Crazy Clarks or The Warehouse (any cheap store) and pick up a DVD player for $49 or less? That'd make much better sense. I saw K Mart like 3 weeks ago with some no-brand dvd player for $38. Selling the Wii is a retarded option. Go grab Zelda and have some fun with it. If you really must sell it (dumb idea) chuck it on Ebay and get $400+ for it.

Agree with Foetoid. Keep the Wii — you're lucky you got your hands on one. Buy an el cheapo DVD player (really, they're all the same unless you like spending money) and be happy that you're part of the next generation. Booyah.

some believe its a simple firmware upgrade others believe its not. i personally don't know whats the real deal but if they can just firmware upgrade the wii to play dvds then you would probably kick yourself later =D
