its happen to me but you just hafto hard sync your control with the wii
take off the batter case of the wiimote
and open the sd slot of the wii console
press the sync button under the batterie case of the wiimote and then press the sync button under the case of the sd slot

they should sync up again

it happened to me this morning - i just had to resync with the button under the battery cover. also i found out that this is how you can tell how much battery power you have left on the wiimote without turning on the wii. just press the sync button on the wiimote while the wii is off and it lights up how much battery life you have left. 4 lights full power, 1 light almost empty etc...

You don't need to press the sync button. Pressing almost any button on the Wii-Mote will do this battery charge check for you.

Had the same problem a a few times, did the same as what has already been mentioned. Removed and replaced the batteries and re-synchronized. Fixed. I tried it with just a re-sync, but no success. For some reason removing the batteries rectifies the problem.
