The levelling system is great, the graphics are awesome, and when the game jumps into a fight (just like final fantasy) it quickly turns into Smash Brothers. You have the main character you control where you run in and smash the enemies like a fighting game, then you have the computer-controlled team mates (up to 3 of them) which you set up thier AI depending on thier class (you can tell your healer to stay away from enemies using heal magic when needed for example). The games plot. honest to god, has more twists and turns than every final fantasy game combined and it is LONG, much longer than Zelda TP. If anyone out there likes RPG's and hasnt played Tales of Symphonia, RUN OUT AND GET IT!!!!!!ZOMFG!!!!!!
