Wii Hardware \ HackMii Contact Nintendo & Nintendo Responds, Concerning A Security Issue On The Wii

Bushing over at www.hackmii.com who is basically one of the people that has had much to do with Wii Hacking, like the HBC and other things I think had recently sent Nintendo this letter:

Dear Nintendo

As part of our efforts to understand how the Wii works, we believe we
have found a security issue that could allow pirated Wii games to be
played on an unmodified Wii console.

I would like to speak to an engineer about this — please have one contact me.

Bushing then received an email from Nintendo, who were using an email address that was nintendo61@gmail.com and this was there response:

First of we do not support what you are doing, but since you found
a issue that could allow pirated Wii games.

We have to see to patch this as fast as possible, So what is
this security issue you want to talk about.

So how do you feel about a Wii Hacker who has helped the HomeBrew scene now show Nintendo a flaw in their Wii which they would update to stop pirated games on a unmodified Wii and also probably destroy the Homebrew Channel.

But if that were true. They would do it with the next Wii Update right? Hopefully Bushing can only say the necessary parts and not anything else. I know that he has to say a fair bit of info to them, but hopefully he doesnt say something to nintendo that tells them about his hackings.

actually if you read comments he made about it and stuff he is serious as he don't really support piracy and the new custom firmware for Wii is I belive that security breach as soon it will allow people to play pirated games on their unmodded Wii.

But you never know he might be bored and whats Nintendo to update what he has hacked so he gets a better challenge at hacking things.

It seems logical for him to do this.
He probably doesnt have his own wii chip and wants it to stop?
We will see sooner or later.

E: Lol Matster, but they may be half true...maybe he is desperate for a job there and showing nintendo that he could do this to the wii and that he found a security hole with it just may be what nintendo are looking for, an expert programmer.
