Im wanting to avi files on to a sd card and watch the vid through my wii but the wii says its not supported, so how can i convert the avi to a format the wii can use??

it just picks up compatible video files. Generally its ones from cameras which are motion jpeg type files i think.

There's a program by Videora that converts videos to a format compatible for the wii, though you do end up with a file size larger than the original

I think it does convert the video to motion jpeg. Surprisingly good quality on the Wii. There's no other to get the video onto the Wii, apart from using Orb to stream the video from PC to Wii Opera Browser, which i've never tried.

I hope my wishes come true one day and Nintendo releases a Multimedia channel!!!

I use that one as well and it does good conversions but like most conversion software it takes some time to do the actual conversion.
