Ok you don't have to buy such for the Wii, for the PC yes. ie Wireless routher, Wifi Adapter.
SD card is not needed as mentioned previously. Maybe one day if you waste enough money, worry about that later. With saving, that's all done on the Wii in the data management section.
I'd go with either a 2GB or certain other 4GB SD cards that are compatible with the Wii. They're cheap enough.
Not sure you need a real "fast" connection just to download VC games. Seeing stupid Nintendo hasn't made any VC games online yet it really doesn't matter what line you have. Aside perhaps the patience you have. It's still rather slow for me on Wii and I have quite a fast connection.
It's a big waste of money if you ask me.
