Wii Hardware \ Should I get Component cables?

I am thinking about getting component cable, but I only have a tube tv, not a hd one or anything. It is a fairly big tv, but is it really worth it?

how big is the TV? i used them on my 30" LCD and now my 46", and they make a huge difference. do you have any mates who use component who could bring their cables around next time you see them? its a pretty hard call, im not sure how much of a difference they make on tube TVs...


i guess if your TV has component plugs (red green blue), then it will display a better picture through them. otherwise, whiy have the plugs on the TV?

So in a word - Yes, absolutely use the component cables, if your TV supports them (as stated by CMPA1970).

And those comparisons are old games as well. I haven't seen a Galaxy or Metroid comparison yet.

You will notice that the colours are brighter and the picture is sharper and criserp. I'd say its worth the investment assuming that your planning on keeping the wii for the whole life cycle.

It won't work. You have to have a TV that has all 5 connections, well, at least the Green, Blue, Red connections for the Video portion. If your TV only has RED, WHITE, YELLOW, the cable will not work...
