I've seen all 5 episodes that have aired in the US.
As a huge fan of T1 and T2 I love the show.
It has disregarded the whole T3 movie (which I wish was never made)by creating a new time-line.
It doesn't have the awesome sleek graphics of T2 and 3 but don't forget it is a TV series.
They have done a great job, I'm looking forward to the whole series and hope it's around for a long time.

Some things I felt:

Didn't really feel an attachment to the characters like you do in the movies.

The Terminators don't seem as scary. Some better acting required maybe?

The protector is hot.

Woulda been good to have a cameo from arnie

Also the fact that John seems to have completely pussified. He was hard in T2, but now he's a sissy. Always complaining and whining that he can't lead an Army. In T2 he had already accepted his fate.

In short, it's not their fault. Nothing Terminator related could ever live up to T2. T2 was a masterpiece. Many current action movies don't even live up to it.

yep that was my first thought when they showed her in a mini skirt and cleavage top nothing like sara would be like after t2 .

t1 was a lot darker than t1 as well i remember seeing it at the cinemas

djinn, i think the point is that this is happening on an alternate timeline, because of the time travel story line i believe that everything that happens to this John Connor is happening in a "alternate universe" crreated by the paradox of time travel and so its non-cannon with the films.

but on the other hand i agree that the should have been execution style terminations of all the writers...what worse than termination cause i want that to happen to the casting people!

Let's face it, continuity was never part of the plan with this atrocity. All the writers and producers wanted was to cash in on the Terminator franchise.

That said I don't think making sense ever entered the equation.
