i bought an 80gig ipod classic and love it, they are 350 so if you want one go for it, classics also come in 160 gig aswell, also ipods havebeen majorly improved sine the first gen ones

if you not fussed on whether its touch screen or not go the classic you can fit way more on at a cheaper price

1, that was superstition with the original Nano, which turned out to be the opposite: It would suffer and suffer, but keep pouring out the tunes.

2, You can play and put movies onto iPod Videos and later, as long as it is in an mp4 format. If you're talking about dloading from the iTunes store, then i think we dont have movies yet, only VodCasts. But you can always backup your DVDs to watch on an iPod

$349 is pretty damn cheap for an 80gb Ipod Classic.
With the refurbished ones, they dont play video, am i right?
and anyone have an idea when the next gen ipods will be coming out?

The first group of refurbished iPods are iPod Videos. iPod Nanos and Shuffles dont play videos. like i said, i bought i refurbished iPod Video from that link.

off the top of my head, the new gens have greater capacity, compatible with more ipod games, and has a much nicer UI.

i have had 2 ipods in the past which both had problems, i'd give it about 6-12 months before you start having problems.
One thing i hate about Ipods you cant just drag and drop audio files, you have to use iTunes(which sucks).
