Depends on the quality you set the movies to. if each full length movie is 700mb, thats more than enough. look at the chasers/shh/goodgame vodcasts. each is about 90MB for ~20mins, and they look fine on my ipod.

they are similar to the ipod ones for 60, they also have a lot of bass

I have the new 8GB Nano. It's great and plays movies too. It's the perfect size really, I highly recommend it. The screen is nice and clear too.

Before that I just had a shuffle. My partner has an iPod touch 16GB (he is annoyed that they have just been released bigger) and he loves it.

BUT, for music, the touch isn't too great. It's inconvenient. But it's ideal for movies, podcasts, and photos.

I have friends that opt for cheaper no brand alternatives, and putting the fact that I'm a huge Mac/Apple fan aside for a moment, they don't last. I'm not being biased I swear!

So anyway, that's my opinion

The iPhone is no good compared to other phones available in Aus. Simply because America doesn't have Next G yet (and won't for some time) in fact the only countries that do are Japan and us.

Also, the touch screen keyboard is a pain, and the phone lacks in a lot of features.

I've got an iMate Jasjam which is a touch PDA phone with flip keyboard, and it does a hell of a lot more than iPhone. Not to it mention can hold a lot of music too.

I use a pair of Creative EP-630 headphones with my 2G Nano, exactly the same as the headphones you mentioned, only difference is they cost me around $30

I'm not much of a mobile phone user, but after having the Touch, I wouldn't hesitate in getting the iPhone when it's released here. Going visiting? 3 taps, and you've just about got the directions in front of you (assuming your destination is in your contact list), you have to see it action to appreciate it.

Anyway, if you are considering an iPod... you can have my older 60Gb iPod Video for $275. Still works perfectly, but I got the Touch as a demo tool for the shop ;^) (That's what I'm telling the wife!)
