LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Review - 8/10
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is probably one of the best games out for the Wii. It is a game for pretty much anybody, and with the unique features of the Wii, this game is the shiz-nit.
Gameplay: 9/10
Gameplay has always been one thing LEGO Star Wars has excelled at, with easy to learn controls, fun features like blowing thing up with the force and building your own AT-STs and enjoyable puzzle solving. The Complete Saga continues this trend, you won't find a dull moment when you are playing this, whether you are podracing in Mos Espa, flying in an asteroid belt or infiltrating the shield generator on Endor!
It's so much fun to invade the Death Star and kill about 200 Stormtroopers, isn't it?
Controls: 9.4/10
The controls on this game are basically perfect, all thanks to the unique Wii controls. The controls are perfect to just pick up and play. The controls are basic but very effective. The bonus Wii controls are brilliant, with been able to swing your lightsaber around everywhere! The Wii controls can even help you build stuff and force things even quicker! Only problem I have is with all Wii Controls that use this unique feature, sometimes it will register some moves as somethig else which can annoy you, but in this game you will barely notice it, unlike some games *cough*marioparty8*cough*, sorry about that, I think I might have gotten the cold.
If you are ever swinging you WiiMote around rapidly to use you Lightsaber, just make sure no ones watching. Seriously, you look weird...
Graphics: 7/10
I have heard alot people say that they don't like the graphics on this game because of the Lego. 1. The Lego doesn't look bad at all, it actually looks really cool, and shiny! 2. Take a look at the background graphics. They are quite amazing. It isn't lego, and it is quite detailed. The graphics are one thing you will definately appreciate while playing.
See, shiny!
Sound: 9/10
When you swing your lightsaber, the schwing sounds quite cool. The music is really good and always suits the mood, with the music changing in fights and changing to more dramatic music in big fights! And the sound effects are quite perfect. The sound is just brilliant.
Umm, I know this has nothing to do with sound, but I couldn't find the picture I wanted, so I have to take it myself from the game, just give me a bit ok.
Multiplayer: 8/10
Getting a friend (if you have one *sob*) to help you smash coloured synthetic polymerization products is quite fun. There is the easy drop-in/drop-out co-op mode for every level which will incorporate more people to have fun and will help you do things quicker than a stupid computer (if your friend is smarter than the AI system). There is also the new added Two-Player Arcade. I haven't played that, but I could imagine it is good.
And if you hate your friend, just choke them.
Value: 9.7/10
This game is better value than the Triple Cheeseburger Stunner Deal at Hungry Jacks! When you think about it, it is two games in one for the same price as either of the two when they first came out! There is so much to do in this game, you will play alot of levels over until you find that one last bloody Minikit which is so frekin' obscure that you will get really angry and almost smash your WiiM... oh, that won't really happen, until you get to the 23rd level, here's a hint, 2nd door on the left
. Anyway, with so much to do in this game, it is easily worht the $60-$80. This game is one of the only few games where i have been pushing myself to get 100%. When you play a game to 50% and you don't want to play anymore, you can feel ripped-off, that won't happen with this game!
You see the circled thing, that is a stud, you're gonna collect about 100,000 of those things in the game just so you can become invincible! That isn't value, but this game is!
Overall: 8/10
If you are looking for a brilliant game, don't look at a game where the first two words are High School, instead, look at a game based on one of the biggest selling movies series ever and bits of plastic!
Don't make me go all Christmas on you!
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a game that will keep you entertained for hours and will stop you from getting any sunlight for about 3 weeks!
Anyone else think Princess Leia is flat-chested in this game?
I definately think that game deserves this score and possibly two Oscars and an Emmy!
