Brunswick Pro Bowling Reviews \ Detail

For fun, not enough fun. For pro, not enough pro. - 6/10

Got the game already and after a few league rounds..

The graphics - well..bowling games never have very good graphics, its still acceptable, the bowling centres are alright. However the game lack of 'afterbowl' motions and those bowling animations (its brunswick not AMF). So its a bit boring, particular for mates not a bowling fanatic.

I'm more concern about how the balls perform and the pins fall down physics (that's what pro bowlings' for and a game from a large bowling firm). That's a bit disapointed, even its a bit better than wii sport bowling..which is for fun only.

The balls, yeah, that's real bowling ball as seems in Brunswick catalog, but not truly perform that way. As a stroker, aims for less hook and more on accuracy its fine. But for bowling cranker, probably that's the limitation of wii sensor, can't really precisely depict the movement and the hook, it just not perform that way. The follow through motions pretty much is what the sensor sense how u bowl.

Pin fall down physics, acceptable. The pin falls by the spare ball hit depict pretty well. Pin falls really related to how u pointing, release and hook the ball. Just for a right hand bowler the pin no.10 not always fall as it should be..(i seldom miss that in real life). That's a lots of split pins in the game if u're not hitting a strike.. in the game, dun expect to do what u want to do in real bowling to hit split pin by the messager pin..it just not gonna work. The game can be done better....

In the league mode, just like real bowling league u bowl every weeks, and join some competition. That's sometimes rival games in the league mode which u can also earn your reputation. In the early period of the league game, its a hard time for casual bowler. You just got a house ball, not perform very well (house ball hook a lot more than real house ball in real life) and u gotta win league trophy rounds..competition to earn money to buy better equipments. Good equipements can add your stamina, hook, accuracy as well as reputation. Just have to spend sometimes to earn money in game, its not easy money though...

In conclusion, for casual/sunday bowler, that game is not as fun as wii sport bowling. Wii sport have more easter eggs, easier to control and funny graphics. Wii sports is better for groups of friends to play together.

Brunswick pro bowling, on the other hand, its a bit boring for casual bowlers.. For bowling pro or frequent bowler, its a lot better than wii sports, in terms of the motions and physics. If you are looking for bowling practice, um...it can do the work a bit, and still have fun for single player, but I'm not believe it can be a sucess in multiplay, every one just go quick play for a few rounds and will get borling.

The game can do better, however, for a mid-budget title...its still fair and worth it. Definitely not worth $99.95, however if u see elsewhere have discount on this game about $50-60 bucks..go for a try..I have some good time and exercise with this game.
