I think the only way that most crashes are prevented is to keep it in a vetilated place thats away from any such electronic equipement that could possibly give out too much heat! Examples such as TVs, DVD players, Recorders, ect, ect...

Its probably a no brainer but make sure your AC adaptor isnt on the floor (carpet) having the ac adaptor off the ground in a well ventilated area is a must. T.V cabinets are a bad place for your wii and the adaptor!

The screen went black for a while then the read instructions thingy came up. I pressed 'a' and the screen went black again and nothing happened. It would not load up the wii menu at all.
I had to turn it off at the power point.
Now when i turned it on, Something really weird happened...
All my VC games where all over the place.!!!!
I eventually noticed that instead of having my first downloaded games on the initial screen i had my last downloaded games first and my first games on the last page!!!!!!!
Has anyone seen this before? Should i be worried?

God...that was a bad joke.
The Wii is a fairly simple piece of equipment and the more simple something is the less likely it is to have problems.
I have no idea why your Wii crashed.
Has it happened since?
