Yes you need to have plenty of supples where u are hiding but u must move every week or 2 weeks because if one zombie finds u , they all find you.
weapons are a VERY important tool to aid ur survival against the undead
but i dont advise a fully automatic weapon because if u are just pumping a million rounds in one zombie suka all u are doing is wasting ammo\
if you secure yourself a nice AK-47 (almost impossible in Australia)you shouldn't have many problems because they have a huge clip size and NEVER jam, so if the SH** hits the fan u wont get caught with your pants down

and another thing
you might be saying to yourself i wanna get even with these zombies and try and eat there flesh. it dosnt work this way
IF U TRY TO EAT A ZOMBIE U ARE JUST GOING TO DIE!
every part of a zombie is toxic (head to toe)
so yeah if that made any sense maybe some of that information will help

jeez you forgot to add getting another 299 human survivors, saying youll dine in hell and shout "WE ARE HUMAN!!!!!"

I'd get the juiciest brain (steven hawkings) and hang him above a big meat mincer, and seeing that zombies have no brains they'll try and catch him only to be minced up as they fall.

ooo thought of another one...pretend im in wow, taunt them say i have the best gear and that im lvl 70, arcane missles (rocket launcher) and then get absoluely pwned.

If I was told Zombies had just arrived in the state like everyone I'd get my sword, mass supplies and drive. Would also make a heap of molotov coktails seeing they are easy to make and anyone can use them.

what about pertol? and with swords you might get zombie blood on you while slicing which will cause you to be infected as well.

But from what i can gather you dont want a knife or anything that requires to be close to your potential victim and can create a lot of biohazard. If you get any zombie blood in you eyes or mouth or whatever then you are screwed.

So i am thinking you need something you can use at a distance and have very little blood splatter. Maybe i would consider hiding out in the local peterol station... petrol flame throwers, food and i am sure they would be very secure as well.

Thats my idea anyway, but a full kevlar body suit is an awesome idea, you just have to be careful of the infected blood getting in to your system through mucus membrane.
