Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is the latest in Sega's Monkey Ball series. Players roll monkeys encased in plastic balls down narrow paths to reach the banana-promised goal. Interesting game with the Wii remote. Controls take a little while to get use too, but I have master it with confident. Can be chanlleging at times but rewarding. I tend to play in short bursts ever now and then.

I notice theres no recent posts for this game, so I thought I'd put in my two cents since i've completed it.

It is one of my favourite wii games. Admittedly it is very very frustrating, but persistence can get you to the end and that feels good.

The mini games are better than rayman's. The interface is much more user friendly. eg. It clearly shows you which games require a nunchuk. It clearly shows using a thumbnail and a bit of text, what the game is about before you select it. The games require different motions from the wiimote, providing great variety. This is unlike rayman which has a bunch of mini games where many of the motions are the same for multiple games. In Rayman the descriptions dont tell you what the game you are selecting will entail. You need a nunchuk for every game in Rayman. There is no solid single player mode for rayman, just a bunch of mini games strung together.

If you dont yet have rayman nor monkeyball. Get monkeyball.

DoGGpound says:

Gamespot: "With the Wii blazing a daring trail, there are definitely questions as to how well the unique controller concepts will actually work out. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz serves as a great proof of concept, making some great, varied use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The length of the single-player game and the inconsistent quality of the multiplayer minigames are lamentable, but the highs are high enough to make this one of the most highly recommended Wii launch games."
