Someone, PLEASE help me out.

I just got my Wii, which I treasure like a child, taken to an installer of ozmodchips.com yesterday. He installed it well and efficiently, and showed me it worked with backup games.

Now, I get home, I have my 1.9b Update disc prepared, as well my 1.3 config disc, which are both PAL versions.

I'm running the latest version of Wii Firmware, which I can't remember the name of, but it is the latest.

So, I slide in the 1.9b Update disc in first. It updates, all is well.

Then I go to put in the config disc, and it CANNOT be read. I proceeded to burn it another two times with Img Burn WITH and WITHOUT the verify option on x2 speed.

So, the disc can't be read. I decide to take a break, and I have a mate over who's never tried a Wii before, so I decided to show him Wii Sports. DISC READ ERROR.

I'm rather distressed, and I was wondering whether anyone could save my sanity. Thanks.

And then you can use v1.3

The recovery disc is not meant to be read. You are meant to insert it into the wii and then power it off for about 5 minutes and then it should work again. Have a look at the readme included.

Cheers to everyone. I found a hacked 1.3 config file, that actually loaded then waited for the 1.2 disc to be loaded in - avoiding the Disc Error problems. This was made by someone who had the same problem as me, I was lucky enough to find it.

I'm happily playing Naruto Taisen 4, and Super Paper Mario is in the burner.

Ummm i think you should post the link for the hacked 1.3 config disc so people with the same problem can access it

If you're getting a new WiiKey I think you can just boot from the 1.2 disc first, enable the region free, and then boot the 1.3 disc. Mine worked to begin with but, in messing around trying to get a dodgy disc to work, I turned off the region free setting in the 1.3 disc and it stopped working.

Everything is working again now. Tried out NTSC RE4 Gamecube on my PAL Wii and it worked fine
