I have been having some minor problems on the Wii. Discs aren't loading, the Wii won't turn on unless I unplug it and plug it back in, and It also says have this channel that has a question mark for the name, size ect...Has anyone else had problems like these? I don't know if these are real problems, but I am still concerned about them.

Which discs arent loading, ridgy didge wii discs or copies ? What channels do you have that are working so we can work out what channel isnt working or maybe you have a dupilicate channel.

Just any of my games that I've bought game stores. I'll put it in, and it won't load. Most of the time I can just restart it and it'll be fine, but it might just be the discs. I went into the Wii settings today and looked at my channels and there was this channel in there that a question marks for the description and picture. That channel doesn't show up on the Wii Menu though.

Send you Wii back to Nintendo for a warranty fix. You may have a faulty drive. If you have a modchip installed in your Wii, you might want to have the chip checkout as some problems associated with games not loading can lead back to a bad installation of a modchip. If you don't have a modchip, just send the Wii back to Nintendo (ring them first).

To put it simply, this modchip allows you to play most imported games (from America and Japan), and to also allow for playing of "back-up" games.

And yes, the modchip does void your warranty, but it is worth it in the end. Especially now, since I just got Metroid Prime 3 Corruption from America and it's not due out for release here till October. Modchips are playing a big part on Wii now, since the release dates for Australian games seem to be quite a fair way away from America...

If you want more info on modchips and all that, do a search through the forums on this site under "modchips", there's plenty of info there to help aid you in your decisions for purchasing a modchip or not.

? channel happens when you tried to download the Metroid 3 Corruption preview. Apparently it was on designed for American Wii's. Just get into your memory settings and delete the channel. It will not damage your Wii!
