Yes. There are ways of preserving it with a clean install, but of course you would have to remove the chip if you wanted to take it into Nintendo

Keeping your console up to date and online with the latest firmware will avoid. There are also other ways of avoiding this that i can't mention on here.

3. will wifi still work?

Yeah, be sure to disable wiiconnect24 before the installation to avoid channel corruption. You can enable it afterwards.

LMAO how can u call them a pro lol.... if its being done by someone thats stuffed around with the wii and learned how to do it... its not as if its being done by proper nintendo techs lol

Ebay is your best bet. I've seen them on there for around $60 total which includes postage.



I was lucky to discover that I had given my girlfriend my LG drive with her computer I built for her which was the exact model I needed!

Just swap her drive with urs that u have no .."Problem Solved"
