I think we need to look back on the past but and take note from there. Sony released the PS2 for $700 odd dollars. I was there I bought it on the launch day. I loved it and enjoyed it even with everyone saying things like I was crazy. And the price dropped and dropped until the price it is at today.

But look at how things panned out. The PS2 has kicked ass with the amount of consoles they sold. Personally if you have the money and you want it now go buy it or wait until the price drops. Sony arent doing anything wrong. They are just operating within the standard cycle of pricing.

Already they're offering packages with two games and PS3 for $989. It would start to sway into the maybe I'll buy it catagory if they hit the 600-700 mark. Still think the Wii is miles better value, even if the graphics are not as good.

Sony will do alright with this console...not as good as with the PS2 as their wasnt such a playing field. Xbox was there but Xbox is Microsoft and we all know what people think of MS.
