You people don't get it.
He caused the 'explosion', though it's hihgly unlikely that it would have caught afire.

Don't encourage him to get a refund or sue a multi-million dollar company because he ****ed up.

Idiots.
I went away, and you are all still here.

Onyx ur a knob lol stop trying to act funny and try to help thetooth out

All you can do is get a new one. I think it was both ur fault and manufacturers fault.

Ur fault because u didnt let much air to flow through and mannufacturers fault because it seems that it wasnt a well made modem having piles of maggs in it shouldnt make it explode.

Call the company anufacturer of send them an emaail (id personally talk to someone over the phone).

Forget about where u brought it cuz theyre a bunch of wanks sometimes.

Go straight to the company and find out what you can do about it, they worst thing they could say is u wont get it replaced. But take into consideration you will have to spend for postage and handling to send the modem back to them.

If you dont get or cant get a replacement for free. All u can do is buy a new one. Either buy the same modem brand or another.

Ive always used a Netgear and ive had no problems watsoever easy to use as well (but like i say thats my opinion)

Hope that helps

And Jackazz take a chill pill people are here to chat about these things they dont need someone telling them their idiots if it pissed u off then go take ur stress out on ur Wii lol and not here

Go back to the start. I showed that it was his fault even before we reached the half-way mark of the first page.

I'm not the only one who's told you that it's your fault. Entirely yours, and no one else's, thanks monolocco.

You put flammable objects on top of a device that runs hot, and you cut off air flow to the circuit board. If you had read the documentation, the manufacturer tells you to leave space between the vents so that air can get in — they may even have gone so far as to tell you how much space.

Why are you wasting the manufacturer's time with such a frivolous claim? Why are you spamming them for something stupid that you did? Of course the sales clerk didn't give you a refund "even with a docket". If anything, he should have recorded the incident and put it on the web so everyone could have a laugh.

To further address this: nonsense.

Silicon deforms under heat. Any electrical component — and especially an integrated circuit of any kind — heats up with use. If you think your PC is well-made, take out the heat sinks and cooling fans and time how long it takes to start smoking.

First of all: Don't ever tell me what to do.

Secondly: I'm calm 90% of the time, and when I posted that - I was calm.

Thirdly: Do you deal with the public? Do you hear about and experience all the bull**** stories people come up with to get a replacement? I'm sure I've posted on that before.

Fourth: He is an idiot. He demands warranty on something that he caused to break. Then spams the company because he didn't get his own way. Spoilt rotten child.

And Fifth: Anyone that disagrees with me( on this matter) is an idiot. None of you know what warranty is, nor the terms of warranty. You can't expect warranty on something that you mistreated. Read the warranty leaflet that came with the product.

"My keyboard stopped working. It was working fine but it was dirty so I gave it a bath.....What? No warranty!1111!!111one GRRR I'M MADDD!!! *stomps around*"
