As long as you havnt opened it it should be ok. Otherwise the disk would have to be damaged in which case they should swap it for another one.

If the game is still sealed or is sealed with the Target Purchase seal then you can exchange it. If its been opened then your gonna be in for a fight. Make sure you have your receipt tho, as its more faster this way.

I have taken a game back that I did open but it took some time to get them to swap it for a credit. If its sealed with a receipt then you will have no problems at all.

i returned some old cds i didnt want anymore to target, i didnt get them from target and they were open. i just told them i got it for a bday present but i already had a copy of them, but i couldnt get a receipt from whoever gave it to me. they said they can only give credit without a receipt, so i got credit to use at target, which was better than still having the cds

Yep... if the seal is broken or you've opened the plastic, they generally wont take it back. It's common sense really... but the crap that gets returned and the excuses ppl give, you would not believe! (former employee of games/music department at Target here...) But strangely, it depends... it all comes down to who the manager is on the day, some might take it back and give you store credit, others wont. They had the worst returns policy there...
