I know for a fact the top one is a fake. I got that Smash Bros vid on my comp and i watch that whole dog scene frame by frame. Not only is Sonic not in that clip, but as you can see Sonic is right next to the edge of the arena in the pic, but still hidden by the dog. In the vid i slowed, the dog isn't that close to the edge of the arena cause Mario and Pikachu are fighting. That top pic is 100% fake, so it's safe to assume the bottom one is too.
