Bricked means broken beyond repair. Its as good as brick, use it for a paperweight or door stop. You will see that term used on pretty much any technology forum, phones consoles etc.

You need a certain LG drive which google will tell you and thats pretty much it. I dont know the drive model numbers.

there are additional programs required but im not even sure of the names. Basically you use these programs to dump your wii disc, then another to turn it into an iso and then use any software to burn it back to another dvd. Im not 100% sure of how though, i just download iso's if i need or buy imported games cheaper from canada or states. google is your friend though.

Here's my two cents..

1. Get a pro to do it unless you are capable of doing detailed soldering. Very fiddly once you get inside.
2. If you choose to do it yourself make sure you write down every step including which screws went where.
2.a) If you choose to install yourself I suggest wiring the chip onto the board rather than soldering the chip directly to the motherboard. Can save you major headaches later if you choose to remove.
3. I fully support and recommend www.ozmodchips.com.au - These guys are a fantastic group more than willing to help with any questions
3. There is another a forum <a target="_blank" href="http://www.wiinewz.com)">www.wiinewz.com</a> that has an up to date list of all the games that will run on the wiikey (v1.2). Naruto is not the only problem (trauma Centre is one that Im hanging to play). Anyway you just check the list before you go and "buy" NTSC games.
4. I dont condone it (hehe) and will not explain how to do it but as for your questions on "backup games" the wiikey has the ability to back your owned game up incase you scratch it (sorry Admins is that the safest way...)
4. Wiikey latest update is due out now but we are all still waiting. You can buy into the speculation if you want but I prefer just to wait!
5. Little extra info...The Wiikey comes with a SNES emulator. Probably illegal but im not qualified in Copyright Law to say. Anyway you get download ROMS and burn them onto your Wiikey update disk and play the old games that way (meaning your money
