About a month ago I'd have said yes.

I bought this game and really enjoyed it.

Positives: nice graphics, lotsa multiplayer party games, good use of motion sensors/controls.

Negatives: can be really frustrating

I still dont think its enough to say 'YES go buy it', but you can always rent and decide for yourself.

Its on my favourites out of the games I own, but its not for everyone.

I have both Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 on the Cube and Banana Blitz on the Wii. Banana Blitz uses the Wiimote very effectively. It is great with multiplayer and I also enjoyed the one player mode a lot.

Many of the mini games I loved on the Cube versions are now strangely crap but there are a few gems like Monkey Target.

If still unsure I would suggest renting the game and trying it out.

The three panel screen which flips through pages telling you what the controls are for a mini-game is awful.

I would not buy this game at near full price but it's probably worth it as it gets closer towards $50.

If you are unsure, wait until the Wii is a year old. Some of the games that come out on the 360 are at the $20-$30 mark now after a year. Should be the same for Wii.
