A while ago, there was an art exhibition held in the 'Melbourne Exhibition Centre', with all art going cheap.
Being a bit of an art connoisseur, this wasn't an opportunity to be missed.
I ended up purchasing about $160 worth of art.
They gave me a receipt, and said they would text me in about 4 weeks to come and pick it up. This was about 7 weeks ago.
Today my mum mentioned it in conversation with my dad overhearing. He then said he heard someone on the radio earlier complaining about the exact same situation as me. I started to panic a bit, until I recently discovered there is no such company listed on the web.
I'm sure SOMEONE knows something about it through some link one way or another.
Anyway, lesson learned, I guess.
I suppose this could double up as a "tell us your scammed stories" thread...
P.S. I'm not expecting any sympathy, cause I know how some of you feel about my comments, or what have you.

They have a phone number on the receipt, but it will ALWAYS be engaged, or off the hook...

Just a false company name, a phone number (possibly false) and a fax number (possibly false, also).
