i believe that you need to still go on a plan even if you have a prepaid - there will be some sort of a committment - like you must charge it once a month - i don't know

can't use a number of functions with prepaid - exchange and downloadable content are out

Apparently i was reading that you can go on prepaid...

but i'd imagine like someone mention before there will be like a min spend etc...also not all contents will be available to prepaid customers...

I still can't get over how cheap it will be...hmmm... !!!!

they had the 8GB in germany for only $99 upfront but you have to go on some ridiculous plan to get it i expect the same case to be with the price here

Well i am hoping to stay with optus but we will see....one of the main thing about the iphone is 3G network internet browsing...although always gonna be costly...

But hoping closer to the date vodafone and optus will release their plans

I'd rather the $1 per 5 minute block. 2¢ per Kilobyte is the biggest rip i've ever heard of. Can you browse the net through a wireless access point? ie a router?

yeah if that is the case - i will get an unlocked model off the net as well - it won't be worth it for apple to rip us off, but that won't stop optus and vodafone
