Im just trying to work out a broadband plan for use pretty much solely on the wii. How big of a plan should I look at for playing games like fifa for about an hour a day?

You need at least 512 speed. 1.5 would be better.

are you gonna play an hour a day every day ...
mmm that's 31 hour a month ...
you should thing of getting at least 5 to 10gig of download.

I'm not sure what the size of your download when you play online but I assume it would be like streaming video of youtube or listening to the radio online.

But hey that's an interresting question.

Optus cable and I've hit just below 18000 on this:

compared to my 512k internet at work my connection completely blitzes it I've had this internet for 3 or more years and have no complaints. I get 12gig on peak 24gig offpeak which is my only area of concern as I go over it every month...

But using it on Wii id be surprised if you used 5g. Games don't use it as much as sheer downloading..

playing online games harldy uses any download. you do not stream the game... very little is actually downloaded. new maps, updates are pretty much the only decent downloads.

I hated TPG. I left them in rage. Good price bad service. It was ok for a while then it went downhill and stayed like that for months even when I swore at them profusely (this usually gets anything done) so I got cable and it was miles faster and hugely stable.
