News \ Minor Update for Wii

Nintendo recently sent out an update that will fix the recurring problem with the internet channel. This problem makes the wii lock up whenever you try to restart the channel.

The clown who made the last comment is the one who is a tool, if he/she actually read my post, he/she would have seen that it was a NEW update, not the update from last week.

Yeah, as of the 3.0 update, the new warning has appeared. Sounds like Nintendo just covering their butts, I can't see how they could 'deliberately' brick someones Wii here in Australia, since mod chips are still legal here.

Anyway, just something I noticed before the update that I don't think I've seen before, it says:

"IMPORTANT: If you do not wish to accept this upgrade, you can shut down your Wii console (by holding down the power button for four (4) seconds and abort the upgrade. If your Wii console has an unauthorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console"

Was that said before when you did an update? Because I don't remember it, maybe that was one of the upgrades from 3.0. Going by what PanterA said, I'm assuming this update won't hurt your chipped Wii, but it is interesting to see that they are now warning you that a future one might.
