You know I have had enough of this nonsense. First of all can someone PLEASE define the terms mature and hardcore because quite a few times those two do NOT get along that well. A hardcore game is NOT a game with regenerative health where all you do is wait till enemy fire stop and then clicking a button till everything stops moving (Gears of War). If hardcore is defined by requiring a lot from the player, then Boom Blox can become hardcore along with other "non mature games".
You want blood with a total disregard of gaming mechanics, then be my guest. I have had my fair share of mature and non mature games, hardcore and casual as you now call them for longer than most of you people and I can say that those labels sicken me.
A good game is a good game even if it has all the colors of the rainbow in it. So despite the shovelware, there are A LOT of good Wii games no one seems to bother and that comes from a Wii owner who is considering getting a 360 but can't really find the game that will make him buy it.
On the topic, having a cutdown experience of a game that is already out on other platforms is a recipe for disaster because if I wanted to play dead space I would play the original FPS version. Overkill had the premise to sell really well to those "mature" gamers (ok with the exception of those who take blood seriously - those need help mind you) and it sold moderately. So Dear dead space producer, please prove me wrong when the game hits retail.
