The Beatles: Rock Band Dated for Worldwide Release
Apple Corps LTD., Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that The Beatles: Rock Band will be released worldwide on 09/09/09 for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
With the announcement they also confirmed that the title will use the "Rock band" name, however it will remain a "custom, standalone, dedicated game experience."
The game will be an "unprecedented, experiential progression through and celebration of the music and artistry of The Beatles." Gamers will be able to rock out to these culturally monumental songs using a microphone, drums and guitars that are "modeled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr throughout their career." The Beatles: Rock Band will be compatible with all current Rock Band instruments.
