Wii News \ Dead Rising 2 Confirmed

Just a few days after the trailer was leaked onto Youtube, Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is currently in development, although it will only be released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. No plans have been made to move Dead Rising 2 to the Wii at any point in the future but it seems likely that they will do something similar to Chop Til You Drop. Also worth noting is that screenshots appear to show a new protagonist, which is a major downer for anybody who loved Frank West from the first game (which is near anybody who played it).

He's hoping it doesnt get ported to Wii because the last time something was ported (Dead Rising 1) it looked terrible (even for a Wii game), they took out half the items, took out 3/4 of the zombies, and made it so you could carry less items. They botched it hardcore and they'd probably do it again. It has nothing to do with 360/Ps3 fanboyism, it's got to do with this style of game not fitting well with the Wii's power as the Wii can't handle that many zombies at once and that many items. They even took jumping out of the Wii version. I'm a Wii fanboy and i DON'T want this one ported.

Well yeah but if somebody doesn't have any system that it's on why would it bother you if it's released. If you think it's been ruined, don't play it. But that doesn't mean other people can't enjoy something, whether it is to your standards or not. Better to have a dumbed down version than no game at all.
