De Blob was one of the more interesting games to be released on the Wii in 2008. The Brisbane developed game saw you painting a town that had lost it's colour, and quite successfully so earning an 8.8/10 from MyWii. In the U.S. the title sold 230,000 between it's September 22 release until the end of December. Compared to big name title's this is a relatively low number, but it was enough for THQ to believe that their new IP was successful, and one they wish to continue.
“We’re pleased with de Blob’s performance worldwide. It’s a great intellectual property and you can tell your readers to expect to see more of de Blob in the future” said a THQ representative.
De Blob is apparently in the works for DS, does this mean that it is still in development, or is this related to a direct sequel on the Wii?
