In a blog post earlier Developer High Voltage the team in charge of The Conduit post in the gaming blog 'Worth playing' (source) confirming the game and adding in: "The Conduit is currently scheduled for Q1 2009 release."
The game has been tagged as a must get by eager fans after seeing the teaser- Engine demo High Voltage Quantum3 Tech Demo
soon after the first gameplay video was released:
High Voltage chief creative officer Eric Nofsinger blogged that The Conduit "aims to provide players with the kind of title they imagined back when the platform was first announced." hinting at properly done motion controls and gameplay, a deathmatch online play-mode as hinted as in the gameplay trailer via Wifi, and an overall epic experience.
In the blog the dev team can only speak too highly of the Wii console:
"The Conduit has more than a pretty face. "The Wii has tremendous potential," said Kerry J. Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage Software. "We've invested heavily in our technology to make certain that potential is realized with The Conduit.""
