News \ Wii Rock Band gets extra tracks - not DLC

Harmonix have come up with a way to get new tracks for the wii version of Rock Band.

Yesterday Harmonix announced that they will be releasing a series of "20 track packs", The first of which will be available in North America on July 15th. The "track packs" will include tracks that are readily available as DLC on the 360 and PS3.

The tracks on the first one are:

30 Seconds to Mars: The Kill

All American Rejects: Move Along

Blink 182: All the Small Things

Boston: More Than a Feeling

David Bowie: Moonage Daydream

Faith No More: We Care A Lot

Grateful Dead: Truckin'

The Hives: Die, All Right!

KISS: Calling Dr. Love

Lynyrd Skynyrd: Gimme' Three Steps

Nine Inch Nails: March of the Pigs

Oasis: Live Forever

Paramore: Crushcrushcrush

The Police: Synchronicity II

Queens of the Stone Age: Little Sister

Ramones: Teenage Lobotomy

Smashing Pumpkins: Siva

Stone Temple Pilots: Interstate Love Song

Weezer: Buddy Holly

Wolfmother: Joker & the Thief

The track packs will retail for $29.99 US

If they cant play guitars themselves, how are you meant to replicate it.

Songs need to be more Brutal i.e Bury your dead, Parkway Drive, Killswitch etc

But on a serious note! OMG! Grateful Dead made the cut! AWESOMENESS!

And as an added bonus it appears that this will be cheaper than DLC (works out $1.50 per track as opposed to $1.99)
