Not sure you could make it into a lylat wars style game unless they do something really out of the ball park.
However something like sin and punishment could work.
You know, if you were to skin MP3 with Kid Icarus like setting (arrows instead of beams, Medusa instead of Ridley, Devil Pit instead of Dark Samus) and even keep the story similar (instead of planets you'd have "worlds"), you'd have a pretty spot on version of Kid Icarus on wii.
