hi

i bought this game from eb intending to take it back cos i thought id finish it in a week

i put it on easy difficulty and its fekkin hard as!!

i got up to the second boss ( just ) and i had hardly any health and then i restarted the chapter again

anyone got any tips or sumfen?

If your having Ammo problems, do a few of the earlier levels (in your case the first level) and stock up on your secondary ammo because the leftover ammo you have at the end of your mission is retained for future missions (ie use your handgun whenever possible using the secondary only to stun a lunging zombie and bosses or if you really want to stock up on a bundle of ammo, handgun the boss).

The second level is fairly moderate difficulty wise until you get to the leach men at the end of the level and thats where you want to be using your grenades. If your having problems with monkeys, stock up on smg ammo and just spray them whenever they pop up. The smg would be the prefered weapon for this level due to the boss and the monkeys.

The critical shots on zombies are key.

Conserve secondary ammo, shoot everything you can, grenade liberally (for 2nd part - since you can't 'nade the boss), upgrade if possible... and yeah, enjoy it.

Why did you restart the chapter if you'd gotten to the boss? If you die, and then continue, you'll start with full health at the start of the boss fight again. Even if you don't "continue", you'll start from the last checkpoint the next time you load up again.

Who's the second boss? Are you talking the second stage in the train level? Or is it the end of the second level, the mansion?

The only thing I can help with is saying to keep your handgun out when you're walking between enemies and shoot anything that your crosshairs say you can. You'll pick up more first aid sprays and herbs that way.

Are you using the zapper or just normal controls?

The controls dont matter as such. I play without a zapper and am quick to change with the c button.

Another tip from me to stock up on ammo is to dual wiimotes on the first level. The enemys stay the same so you can go all out with two hand guns Lara Croft style and you can conserve sg and smg ammo. And you have double the amount of nades so you can find hidden ammo and files easy.

Thats of course if u have two wiimotes.

The critical hit isnt between the eyes on zombies as stated earlier. Aim at the hair line, think of it as shooting their brain.

Yeh the only problem with dual wiimotes is actiom sequences. But that becomes easier with practice.

It's a different style of game altogether, the only similarity being that you shoot at things. Umbrella Chronicles is an on rails shooter in the style of Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, et al, but perhaps a bit slower paced and more about accuracy.

It is TOTALLY different. For starter, there are no Zombies in RE4. Pretty much Umbrella Chronicles is like playing through RE0,1 and 3 in 'on rails shooter' mode like Time Crisis. It is a little short and repetitive, with bosses being very very tough. I recommend buying it on the EB Games 7 Day return policy and take it back within 7 days if it bores you. Thats what i am going to do and put the money down on a Tenkaichi 3 preorder (released on 28th Feb confirmed!).

There's loads of unlockables for your RE fan plus a two player mode. I've racked up over thirty hours on this game and still have much to do. You probably won't play it continuously as it's more of an arcade style game rather than being story driven but I'd still say it's good value.

ive got a question tho, i was under the impression that weapons can be upgraded to 5 stars which would give it unlimited ammo, however it said maxed out when i upgraded it to 4 stars. do you have to finish the whole game first to upgrade a gun to 5 stars?

I'll correct myself, its actually a S rank on all Hard Missions.

Just make sure you get every file, make as many critical hits on zombies as you can and destroy as much of the levels as you can and you'll be right on the money.
