Im in the market for a new Wireless modem / router. Dont wanna spend loads, just want a nice and simple one to hook up that will be good for wireless connection to my Wii and wired connection to my PS3 and 360 without any nat problems. Also would like to have a good wireless range.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction and the best place to buy it for the best price

Thanks

I've got a D-Link DI-524. It's pretty old now, still works fine. Works with everything, well at least the Wii, 360 and DS.

Well, i'm running a basic Belkin router for my network. Works great with xbox live. I didn't have to open up any NAT ports. Wireless has a good range. I'm using a separate modem, Siemens 4200 optus. Works well, too.

All in one combos, hmm. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY D-LINK!!! It is not xbox live friendly, despite what some packages say. Port forwarding just does not work properly. Sometimes the NAT is open for xbox live, and sometimes it isn't.

I know a lot of people on xbox live recommend Netgear or Linksys.

I use a Belkin wireless g++. It does the buisness. Just remeber to set your wii up on port 1 or 11. It's pretty crap gettin it hooked up on the other 11.

I can recommend getting a Netgear DG834G.

It combines an (ADSL/ADSL2) modem with a router, 10/100 LAN switch, a wireless access point and a true firewall.

Plus it's white and looks a treat next to the Wii

Never had a hiccup with it.

And Harris Technology has them on special at the moment too: ht.com.au/

I'd say get a Netgear router, i know a few people who have them and they are real fast, I'd rather a Netgear router than the Billon one I have.

I have a Linksys and its sweet..no problems at all with my wireless network or Wii wireless connection.

I don't have a 360 or PS3 though, so I can't tell if its good with any of those two. But if phatbass say Linksys is good for 360s, then it should all be thumbs up for it.

I wouldn't buy D-link. I've had a couple and they seem to be temperamental.

Billion, netgear and linksys are pretty good.

Id stay away from D-Link or some cheaper models. Get something with VOIP ports in the back so you can make cheaper calls too!

Everyone is ditching D-Link. I have no idea why really. It's my first router and it's done the job since 2003 and it connects to everything. It's only a router though, not modem.

Some of the D-Link stuff that i had to use at my old job did the trick, just needed to odd powercycle every now and then, apart from that they were fine. Ive had other stuff that was pure crap though.

D-Link is quite reliable and has a very good compatablity ranges, as all it requires is a mac address... which pretty much everything that requires a network connection has one... or has an adapter which has one... D-Link set up is so easy, i set up the one in my house, and im 14!?!?! works fine, so easy to set up mac filtering and WEP encryption security... and also, you want to set everything up as a static IP address, avoids ip address conflicts... i am saying all this to show how easy D-Link is to use! **Net Gear is also good
