Social \ New store...."Games"

I was wondering around the Logan Hyperdome yesterday when I cam across a games store I hadn't seen before. It wasn't Ebs it wasn't Game traders, it was simply called "Games".

Not a bad store, but the thing that got me was their trade deals.

PS2 console + 10PS2 games = $299 PS3

I mean thats pretty darn cheap.

I don't play my PS2 at all anymore, and have a bazillion games...looks like I'm going the Wii+PS3 combo.

Any comments?

They are offering the 40GB PS3 for that price. EB games has a similar deal but its 12 PS2 games and the PS3 still costs $499.

You better make sure of that one.... cause a 300 difference is a lot!

WTF? It's in Queensland now? Damn it, bring it to the Gold Coast. We use to have Game Wizards, which appeared to be taken over by GAME in the other states.

As far as the PS3 deal I mentioned above, it is confirmed as a 40Gb PS3.

Thats a PS2 console, and 10 PS2 games + $299 = 40Gb PS3. The only catch is that GAME has quite a large 'exclusions' list which rules out certain games to be traded as part of the deal. They'll still trade the games but it won't be part of that deal.

I'm getting one tomorrow. G'diddy up!!

Because of previous PS experience or just the way people talk about it?

I thought the 360 was going to be the same from what I read, since owning one, no problems at all. Red Rings etc. Sure I believe people have had problems but I don't think it's as common as people make it out to be.

So true, except game is slightly less overpriced then EB I think they win the masses over because they are the lesser of 2 evils, since places like Big W and JB destroy EB in terms of price, EB still makes money because unassuming parents believe they are "experts".

IMO I don't see how that is cheap at all.

EDIT: That is if you buy games over $60-70.
