the friend code you need to play against others is in the friends List in Guitar hero 3 its not your Wii console Friend Code..
(Does this make sense?)

so um go to the game, go to nintendo wi-fi, press "show freinds roster" and then you should find you number on the top left hand corner where it says "Friendcode". and thats yours
