No no and no. I played the GC version over and over, finished it about 12 times and i still upgraded to the Wii version. The graphics are WAY better (especially in 480p 16:9) and the controls are so much better it's a dramatic and significant improvement which improves the whole game and how it is played 10-fold. Yes it's the same game, technically it's the same as the Ps2 version with many more features and extra bit, and the extra graphics and spectacular controls (which work so much better you have no idea) make it a worthy upgrade IMO.

If you don't have this game, you are depriving yourself of what the Wii was meant for. (I thought the GC version was one of the greatest games of all time BUT the Wiimake tops it!) I cannot stress enough how incredibly awesome Resident Wiivil 4 is.
