do NOT buy this on Wii for a few reasons:
• absolutely disgraceful graphics
• it's very glitchy
• the guitar is annoying as HELL to deal with
these are just a few reasons so far.
if you don't have a anything else but Wii fine buy it on Wii but you'll be let down a bit if you've played GH1 or GH2.
if you have a 360, PS2, PS3, PC, or Mac buy it for one of those.

Get the holiday pack with the 2 games, they have the new chips and HDMI. My PS3 runs hotter than my 360 it's nuts. Mine was only $550 as well.

The 360 version of Guitar Hero is pretty good. I mean Guitar Hero 2. I assume number 3 should be just as good!

i'm with you jac33au! the gimmick of the wiimote is starting to wear thin. I'm not that bothered that the graphics on the wii are not as good as the others, but its the fact that the only good games are being put out by Nintendo. The 3rd parties games are pretty much just ps2 ports with the wiimote added.

If GH3 is crap, i'll be selling my wii.

I had lots of fun playing it with the wiimote...can't get past the boss cuz u need to use power ups and need the lever to do some other tricks, but besides that it was fun playing against my friend and co-op even if it was with wiimotes
