I had simulair problems syncing my second Wii mote, but if you read the instructions about syncing its says to hold both sync buttons until it registers, but ive found it works better when you hold both for about 5 seconds and keep the sync button pressed on the Wiimote for an extra 5 seconds after you let go of the button on the Wii... worked fine after i did that! hope this makes sense????
