Ghouls and Goblins (or Ghosts n Goblins) was considered a very difficult game by arcade standards, and i think one of the most difficult games on the NES. Even the PSP remake was brutal.

I agree while I've played harder games master quest is annoyingly hard especially in the water temple

I'll agree.. I got up to the village and decided Id better quite while I was ahead..

and the Original Zelda? Kidding right? I remember when that first came out, lol... it was awesome. My brother and me would team up with our parents and make maps for it.. Played it senseless..

Another Game Id say was hard is.. hmm... Frogger? Maybe.. well.. I mean.. ever heard of anyone ever clocking Frogger? No, I thought not..

Scarface: The World Is Yours. Hardest game I have ever played, mainly because of the final mission! Other than that, there is Without Warning, Area 51 and The Suffering. I highly reccomend all of these games.

The whole game was easy except the chocobo racing/balloon thing in FFX for Tidus's ultimate weapon was so BS and had me cursing way too much.

Also, DSReaper, I found Megaman 2 to be the easiest Megaman game on the NES, so I guess all the Megaman games (exc. no. 2) would be the hardest games I've played.

Yeah, I agree. I get really peeved when I get stuck and I don't know what to do, then it turns out I had to pickup some little item from the bushes to continue the game. Sometimes I reacon it's just a pickup items game. I sit there sometimes clicking on "pickup item" button non stop just to try to find these hidden items.
