Thanks for the link and info, Pezza. It helped a lot. Now to check if my TV is compatible for the component cables!

EDIT: Ok so I checked the TV and to my dismay...no ports for the component cables...

However...I checked my DVD player and that DOES have room for the component cables. Is there any way I'm able to get the same picture quality on the screen via the DVD player?

You'd probably find the DVD component connections are for output only - ie. playing the DVD onto the TV and not Wii into the DVD.
