Hey all, recently I had this error (Internet connection sharing error .(6)' pop up when I tried to re-install the drivers for my Wi-fi thingy after my computer crashed.
It took me a few days to finally get back online with my Wii and it was really a lot more complicated than it should have been, so I thought I would write up a little guide on how I fixed it.
Hopefully you will never have to use this guide but this problem seems all too common from the different forum posts that I have read. I'm writing this guide to reflect the way that I fixed it, so it might not work for everybody.
Ok so first of all you get the message 'Internet connection sharing error .(6)' pop up when you are trying to re-install drivers for the Wi-Fi connector.
Step 1: Go to your start menu and open up your list of programs. If there is a program in the list called 'Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector' then select it and run the uninstall.
Step 2: Open Start Menu and go to control panel. Double click the system icon and go to the 'Hardware' tab and click the 'Device Manager' button up the top. You should now see a list of all the bits of hardware connected to your computer. Click the 'Network Adapters' side menu and you should see the 'Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector' option*. Right click it and uninstall the drivers.
