Wii Software \ Wii key?(help for one of those damn newbies)

1. Yes he is. But you will most likely have to send your Wii to him.

2. There's no proof yet as to what will happen to your Wii, it will take a few months or until the next update to truely find out what will happen. If you plan on using the Wii Shop Channel though, you will need to update.

3. Yes, keeping it offline will make it a whole lot more safer, since you are not updating from Nintendo, which could potentially block you from going online, but it won't matter for you.

4. Not really. Just make sure you research which games have updates that come with it. Certain games you buy can contain updates. There are programs out there that will get rid of the updater.

i went to gamefreaks the guy was cool, he does computer swap meets as well and does them while you wait.

Not really here it is for all people so all this panic can be cleared out.

Theres no problems for the wiikey at the moment it has been resolved.

07.08.08 Wii firmware 3.0 issues
Nintendo has released firmware 3.0 via online updates. It will NOT brick or disable Wiikey; however, base and config discs will not load 'natively', neither will any other GC disc with El Torito standard header format. WiiNewz have reported that there are already tools available for building bootable config and setup discs, as well as other discs with applications and emulators. We are currently researching why the El Torito format no longer works. Once this is completed new versions of the config and base system disc will be made available.

If you are in Melbourne, I can do it in front of you in 15 mins, 40 mins if its a new wii with pins chopped.

If you are in another state, i can get an installer do do it for you.
