WHAT!? It seems I've been swindled by those turd licker's at EB once again, *sigh* it's what I get for trusting them. I't doesn't really matter because it will be about 2 months before I can afford my 106 cm LCD anyway so it makes no difference.

nbo you tv might never even be compatible with the component cables unless you have an upmarket dvd player or amp. So unless your about to come into possession of a massive plasma or LCD screen (like me ) don't waste the $50.

I have a Teac 76cm Widescreen with component in. While it doesn't appear to support 480p, the component cables still seem to make a decent improvement. I had to use the composite cables yesterday to reset my Wii and even in the menu there is a fair bit of difference. Much crisper.

I saw some people unpacking the component cables at Big W at Macquarie Centre in Sydney! I think they were putting them up for sale... I also saw a security trolley full of Wii stuff at Target at Chatswood in Sydney, but the lazy staff couldn't be bothered to unpack it all.

Look its def worth getting component. Its a lot crisper images. Sure its $44 from JB but you will be using this system for 4 to 5 years....so thats $44 for years of better picture.

I got mine in Sydney on launch day (JB Bondi Jct) and by the looks of another post a Big-W in Syd have them too.

Nintendos web site said they would be available on launch so it should REALLY be a surprise despite some shops saying later.

yeah the comp cables are definetly worth it, make sure if you have a Plasma/LCD that you change your screen setting to the EU/HDTV version it makes it clearer.
