PS3 sells for like a thousand bucks. The new PSP will probably be $400 or $500. Was there really any question as to the legitimacy of this offer?

No you won't. Paypal only covers you over eBay, and I doubt the dude even has the hardware and can verify it according to eBays EULA (must have a picture of the hardware and all its accessories, with username clearly written on piece of paper).

That's not proof at all. Tell him to make an account on eBay. Tell him to then write his eBay username legibly on a piece of paper, arrange all the hardware, cords, controllers on a table, put the piece of paper on the table also, and then take another picture.
