Hi does anyone here have the Wiikey yet? i wanna get one but have heard good and bad things about it lyk my wii bricking. any thing happend to ur wii after wiikey installation and should i get it?

No one has had a problem with their console dying after an install, only if they did it themselves or as Supa said updated NTSC patch on a PAL console.

Highly recommend them, I save a lot of money by importing.

Needs clarification.

You may not trade modchips or modchipped consoles through this forum or through MyGames, or any other myMedia site.

You may not share or solicit sources of game downloads. That is Wii downloads, NES/SNES ROMs, websites that use NES or SNES ROMs as a basis to play those games through a web browser, the whole shebang.

Any of the above gets an instant, permanent ban, and I'll be too busy laughing to care.

In the rules you say you cannot Sell Modchips or chipped consoles but what happens if I want to trade my console as desi says is not accepted. If I wanna trade my chip then I dont think you can ban me.

No not all NTSC. Paper Mario included an update that could potentially brick your console. Provided you updated your console online before playing Paper Mario then there is no problem.

it will only brick if u have an older firmware than the one that is on the game. So if u update to newer firmware from an NTSC game u get the NTSC firmware which bricks the wii. Just perform an update on wifi first. But new program just came out yesterday to remove the update from wii games.
I installed Wiifree myself wasnt that hard just went to DSE got me a soldering iron and some 30awg kynar off ebay

Just a thought!

We can and will ban you for trading a modchip, or a console with a modchip installed. The reason is this site was shut down by the ESA for thirty hours because one of its sister sites had a modchip for sale. If you were to remove the chip before trading your console, and keep the chip out of the trade, then there is no problem.
