Game Cube \ Gamecube controller weirdness on Wii

Just wondering if anyone's had a similar problem, the first time this happened was last night. I have one original gamecube controller, one wavebird, and two third party controllers that look a lot like the original controller but with a 'turbo' button and a 'clear' button.

Anyway we were playing 4 player double dash and one person playing's turning circle was really large, that is they couldn't turn right very well all of a sudden. I thought it must be because they were using the third party controller so I unplugged it, then plugged it back in. It continued to do the same thing - and then suddenly the person using the original gamecube controller started having the same problem.

So I don't know what the problem is. I thought it might be just the third party controllers but then when the original controller started doing it that confused me. Maybe its the mixture of all the different types of controllers? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the quick replies - yes they work in VC and this hasn't happened before, not sure of the exact brand but they are the same as these ones I think:

Hahah yeah they do a bit now you mention it, anyway I tried to replicate the problem and it happened with one controller again - I actually have each plugged into an extension cable as the gamecube controller cords are nowhere near long enough - when I disconnected it then connected it again it fixed the problem, so maybe its the extension cables coming loose? Makes sense as the original is also extended and it had problems last night.

Don't let this discourage anyone from buying 3rd party controllers (even if they do resemble ps3 boomerang ones a little bit) as I think in the end its probably the extension cords coming loose. Thanks guys!
